The Crip Who Loves Yoga: Exclusive Film Screening #2

August 27 @ 14:00 - 16:00 UTC-7

The Crip Who Loves Yoga Screening #2

THE CRIP WHO LOVES YOGA is an inspirational film about social justice, yogic activism, and most importantly for us at HelloYogaWorld, the power of yoga to transform lives – all over the world and even in the most unlikely places.

The film was written, directed and produced by James Wvinner and our very own Carmena Su, one of the co-founders of HelloYogaWorld. Carmena has agreed to host this exclusive screening twice, to accommodate time zones all over the world.

The Second Screening is scheduled for Saturday August 27th at 2:00pm PDT (Los Angeles, Vancouver, Baja).
If enough people attend, the producers will host a discussion after the screening.

The Story:

‘The Crip Who Loves Yoga’ follows two men on their deeply personal journey from the streets and a Native American Reservation, to prison and the challenges of navigating life. It also features inspiring individuals such as Chaplain Abdul, a prison chaplain with 30 odd years of experience working in prisons; yoga teacher/therapist and activist Hala Khouri and James Fox, founder of the Prison Yoga Project and Sara Joy Marsh, who work first hand with prisoners facing imprisonment with no chance of parole.
